What is a full bath? It’s a bathroom with a toilet, lavatory, and a bathtub, typically 50 to 100 sq. ft. in size. Bathrooms with a shower instead of a bathtub are sometimes called three-quarter baths, but they really are full baths. That’s the basic design. There are numerous variations including a full bath with two toilets, a toilet and a bidet, two separate lavatories, a combined bathtub and shower, a separate bathtub and shower, and many other versions. Once you go beyond the toilet-sink-tub combination the bathroom typically is considered a master bath or extended bath.
