Tools for electrical remodeling are specialized, but most aren’t very expensive. You can find them at larger hardware stores and building centers. Because of their relatively low cost, opt for better quality tools, especially if you expect to do much remodeling in the future. A good quality wire stripper can save time and effort for decades. Common electrical tools for remodeling bathrooms include: * Screwdrivers (Phillips and straight or standard) * Pliers (needlenose and standard) * Plug-in circuit tester (indicating condition of live circuits) * Cable ripper (for removing plastic sheath fro NM cable) * Wire cutter and stripper (for removing insulation from wire tips) * Circuit tester, continuity tester, or multimeter (for testing voltage, amperage, or resistance)
