Heating systems can be the most dangerous services in your home. Not only is the output hot but the processes that produce the heat can be dangerous. Electric furnaces and space heaters usually use 240v electricity. Gas furnaces and space heaters require natural, liquid petroleum, or propane gas. So make sure you read all instructions, especially the safety ones, that come with heating appliances. In addition, cutting through drywall creates dust that can get into your eyes and mouth. The dust isn’t toxic, but it is abrasive and can cause irritation or possibly damage. Of course, working with any tool offers the potential of being hurt by it. Power tools can get you hurt faster than other tools, but they all can injure you. The point is: Please work safely. Think about what you’re doing, know the inherent dangers and avoid them.
