Full Bath Facelift

A full bath includes a toilet, sink, and bathtub. Sometimes a bathroom with a shower instead of a tub is called a three-quarter bath. Both types of bathrooms typically are adjacent to bedrooms. Some are dedicated to and only accessed from one bathroom, while others are in a hallway to be shared among multiple bedrooms. A shared bathroom also can be one that has door access from each bedroom rather than through a common hallway.

Remodeling Words

Full baths are larger with a minimum size of 35 sq. ft. More typical is 50 to 100 sq. ft. in size. Larger is better.

Common full bath facelifts include replacing cabinets and countertops, resurfacing or retiling bathtub or shower walls, replacing lighting fixtures, upgrading flooring, and, of course, painting or wallpapering.
