| Remodeling Agreement |

Did you find a qualified remodeling contractor to take on your bathroom? Great! Let’s get it in writing. A typical remodeling agreement will include some important specifics. Attached to it (by reference) will be the remodeling plans and probably the final bid. The agreement itself will include: * Contract date and parties * Starting and completion dates * Conditions (who does what, who pays for what, who approves what, how changes are made and paid for, etc.) * Contract sum * Progress payments (matching the lender’s draw schedule, if any) * Terms of final payment * Contract termination terms * Anything else agreed upon that should be in writing Don’t sign anything under pressure. If you’re not comfortable with the price, terms, and conditions, stop and think it through. Will this contract take you to your goal? What’s the worst that can happen? Is it covered by the contract? If it will make you more comfortable, have an attorney review the building agreement prior to and during final signing.
