| Plumbing Contractor |
|
The plumbing system must be roughed-in or started early in the remodeling process. The plumbing contractor will install “runs” or horizontal pipes and risers or vertical pipes for the water, sewer, and drain systems. If something will later be built over the top of these pipes (such as concrete slabs), the plumbing contractor will do so as the foundation is being built. Otherwise, the plumbing contractor can rough-in plumbing later. Once the framing is done, the plumbing contractor will be back to install supply, drain, and vent pipes throughout the house. Finally, the plumbing contractor will return after the walls are closed to install plumbing fixtures and hardware.
