The flooring contractor will install carpet, vinyl tile, solid or laminate wood, or other flooring materials following the building plans. Flooring typically is attached to the subfloor with adhesive, nail strips, or float using an interlocking system. Some flooring contractors specialize in one or two types of flooring, such as carpeting, and leave the others to someone else. They are specialists among specialists.
